Connectivity
Understand the path between your phone, your computer, and the running app.
Establish a local connection first
Your computer runs the project. The phone needs a supported, authorized connection to that computer to display and interact with its private preview.
- Confirm that the project runs on the desktop.
- Connect both devices to the same network.
- Complete pairing and open the preview.
- If it fails, check host status, the project process, and network access in that order.
Guest Wi-Fi and device-isolation settings can prevent devices on the same network from reaching each other.
Work away from the computer
Remote connections, code editing, agent conversations, and project startup are free. Lyre Pro is required only for live app previews outside your local network; local-network previews remain free. AI provider charges are separate.
Off-network use requires a supported transport configured for your build. A successful same-network test does not verify the deployed relay or another remote route. Before relying on it, test the phone on a different network while the host remains online.
Do not expose the project’s development server publicly as a substitute for private preview. A public URL has a different access boundary from an authorized Lyre session.
When the computer is offline
Check power, sleep, network access, and whether Lyre is running. A phone cannot launch a project through a host that is unreachable.
Remote wake is planned for authorized developers on supported hardware and networks. It is not an early-access guarantee and will not be available to app-only users. For now, keep the host awake during remote sessions.
